Smith School of Science, Math & Technology Release Day!

On April 8, 2008, the Smith School of West Hartford held a Release Day as part of it's Trout In The Classroom program. 31 students and their TIC teachers along with members of FVTU and invited guests, made the 14 mile trip to Burlington Brook in Burlington CT. With near perfect weather and excellent water levels, 24 Brown Trout fry were released into the brook to begin their journey in the wild. Not only was this the school's first release, this was also the chapter's first release event, ever! We can say without a doubt that the event was a complete success. There were smiles on the faces of all the students along with the volunteers and adults in attendance.
