  FVTU Trout In The Classroom

           Connecting students to their watersheds

Trout in the Classroom is an innovative, hands-on conservation education curriculum serving grade-school, middle and high school students throughout the United States. Through the experience of raising trout from eggs, students learn the importance of clean natural water resources, streambank ecology, and various modes of scientific inquiry. In Connecticut, TIC is a cooperative effort of the CT Department of Environmental Protection and the Connecticut State Council of Trout Unlimited, along with its member chapters who sponsor fish tanks and equipment in local schools.
